Happy Spring y’all! 🌷
Well, kinda! The weather may not have gotten the message yet but we’re almost there. I cannot wait to finally start wearing something other than big heavy sweaters and coats, jeans, leggings, booties, and scarves. I am pretty over it, as I usually am at this point of the year. I don’t know why we’re all still so surprised that the weather doesn’t magically turn warm on March 20th every year? 🤷🏻♀️ But at the very least we can start prepping!
Lately I haven’t had the time to go out and shop much, so online shopping has been a necessity. One of my fave websites to search for spring and summer basics has been TOBI. They’re clothes are super affordable and I try to search for that when buying simple basics because I know I’m going want a lot of them to be able to switch up outfits and use them to mix in with more trendy pieces.
A few weeks ago I received a bunch of things from TOBI and this fitted grey tank-top dress was one of them. Then pretty soon after there was this REALLY warm day and it was so sunny, and I just couldn’t stand the idea of not wearing a lighter outfit out for brunch with a friend. It felt so good to be wearing so little clothing, even if it was just for a day (because you can bet your butt it was freezing again the next day. New York, man 🙄)
This dress is long enough that it hits my knees so I don’t feel like I’m hitting the club in it lol. Over top, I threw on my fave olive button down and tied it at the waist (this is my favorite thing to do with all spring/summer times dresses. I seriously need to get a few more light button downs like this because there’s so much you can do with them. And I’ll totally post about them when I do!)
I paired it all with some gold jewelry, my favorite purple Patricia Nash bag, and some pointy flats I have. This dress is going to be perfect this summer, to slip on for something quick and cute or as a cover-up to the beach, and I just cannot wait!
